Was there something (an experience) or someone in your life that was the "catalyst" for you to start writing music? Tell us about it.
Well calypso music was always playing In my home. As a little girl growing up I would watch my mother cooking and while the music was playing, she would just sing with passion like she was apart of creating the song. I was about 2 going on 3 years old and I used to literally think that must be my mothers song. We laugh about it now when I bring it up. My Father sung as well - that was apart of his charm. The gift of song was indefinitely my destiny. I would hum through dinner-time as I got older and I would here my own voice singing like my mom when I would go to bed at night. I couldn't turn it off and the sound would put me to sleep. Creating music was natural instinct for me.
Let's get this out of the way. What is the CRAZIEST thing that has ever happened to you in your music career?
The craziest thing that has happened to me in my music career was when I went to audition for this band that was looking for a singer and when I got to the audition they were actually about to play live at a Gig. I was like "wow!! This is crazy!"Lucky thing I asked one of my friends if he could walk with his camera to record the audition. The audition video is currently on youtube: HeidiBe performing live at the Ringside Café In Saint Petersburg Florida.
What has been the high point of your music path?
The high point of my music career was in 2014 when I decided to start my own entertainment company and learn the business so that I could show my passion and the dedication that I have to contribute on an executive level along with my voice and to be taken more seriously in the music business.

So, how do you approach songwriting or what is your creative process like?
The thing about song writing for me is a melody could come to me at any given time. If I already have a concept I will build the song from the concept. If I just have the music alone then the energy of the music will speak to me.
What do you see as the biggest challenge facing Indie Artists today? Or, if you could ask the music industry to change one thing, what would it be?
Too many expensive seminars about the business; indie artists starting out have no money and it is very difficult to find solid companies to trust; some companies always wanting money upfront and robbing the artist with no real opportunity ahead; paying to get on the stage with other artist, most of the time artist are afraid and have no support and they give up.
If you could share the stage with one other artist or band, who would it be and why?
I would love to share the stage with Soul ll Soul - Back To Life, Because this song takes me on a journey of possibilities and that there is so much more to life.
What are your rehearsals generally like? Or, how do you prepare for a live show?
I actually like to do a cardio run & yoga before a performance or rehearsal - it wakes up my mind and body, then vocal warm up.
Pick one song that was your greatest challenge to write. Tell us about it!
All of the songs I have written were challenging because I'm being honest and sincere with limited time and the challenge is really wanting to say more but running out of time. You know it's like the story that your grandparents tell you over and over again every time you visit them- they just can't get enough. hahahaha
What's coming up in the future?
Actually !! I am booked to perform at the State Theatre to support the Local radio station 99Jamz and to continue to record & release new music.
