What is "Victorious" about and how do you think it fits into a project about the summer?
'Victorious' is more than just a song, its an anthem that in life you can reach highest peaks with passion, courage and persistence. Life is about being inspired by the good around us, Its about having fun, working hard and being able to reach the stars. People usually say that "you can’t make it to the stars because its too arduous or unrealistic", I say we 'can' and we 'will' and ‘’Victorious’’ exhibits that nothing is unattainable. “Victorious (Ansimatik Remix) is a triumphant dance anthem that is the perfect soundtrack for the summer. It definitely has a great summery vibe. The music video showcases scenes that take you from the sandy beaches to the night clubs. "The music altogether covers a great buoyant sound, and with bouncy beats, this is a great atmospheric song. This is something to keep you pumped all summer long.'' - Capitol FM
Can you tell us a bit about how you wrote "Victorious"?
Well, I wrote this song with my co-writers Michael Jay and Hadrien Vicedowhen when I was back in LA . We were literally just hanging out at the beach and got this cool idea by looking at the ocean. We wrote the melody for Victorious in just a day and the rest is history.
The video definitely brings us to a great summer day! Looking back, what was the best summer of your life and why?!
The best summer of my life was back in 2015, I was living in my apartment alone when my family paid me a surprise visit. With my recording sessions, tours and shoots I don’t get to see them often. Having a few days free that summer, I got to spend time with them and catch up with whats going on with them and others. I showed them around, heard new music, went to the beach and spent a good time together.
Can you talk about a time in your career where you have collaborated with other artists and describe that experience for us?
Collaboration is one of the finest thing in music, when talented and spirited artists work together, the outcome is phenomenal . My recent collab with Robyn Regan from London and Borkung Hrangkhawl from Asia turned out to be a great success, with the song being played on BBC Radio 1 & Best Of British. I've got a new song which will be released in June and its another collaboration with Poland music producer Mario Ayuda and New York Artist Christina Custode,it is coming out to be a true ballad and could be my best work yet, lets see how it does in the international market. You never know, maybe my next collaboration might be with someone from the compilation CD x
That would be very cool. 'The compilation, "THAT SUMMER by Various Artists', is all about songs that have something positive or remind us of Summer in some way. With that in mind, can you tell us how making music has had a positive impact on your life?
Music has always helped me keep a positive mind frame. Music is my reason to be. I sing and play when I have had a rough day, it helps me cope and respond to things correctly. When I am in my room playing, in a studio recording or on stage performing I feel a sense of completeness and fulfillment. I feel a connection with my inner self, it empowers me to the core.
You talked about L.A. earlier. Where do you live or work now? What is the music scene like there? Is there anything special that goes on in June, July or August in your neck of the woods?!
I live in New York, but travel a lot, I was in Italy for my recent music video shoot, then Los Angeles for another shoot, followed by Mumbai for a show, and to be honest the way I look at the music scene is 'International', My goal is to extend to the global market, reach everyone living on this planet. Its specially possible now with VEVO, Youtube, SoundCloud & Social Media! Yes, In June I’m playing 2 major festival shows and releasing a brand new single, I will also be attending the IMEA AWARDS as a nominee for ‘’POP ARTIST OF THE YEAR’’
We hope you get the award! Going back to Summer times, can you describe your favorite vacation! Do you ever take a vacation or a break from writing, playing or performing music? I seldom take any breaks or vacations as I need 'purpose' to travel, and music gives me that, I believe if you truly love your work, you are basically living in a vacation! x
Nice. The music scene seems to be bursting with Summer Music Festivals. Do you have a favorite music festival that you play in or attend or is there one summer music festival you would love to play in?
I am already performing at the Great Escape Music Festival & Liverpool Sound City in London this summer. But I'd would love to play the 'Governors Ball Music Festival'' in New York City, I'm still waiting to hear back from the promoter, I might as well.
Looking beyond the Summer, what is on your radar for 2018-2019?
The Official Music Video Premiere for my single Took The Words (Remix) ft. Robyn Regan & Borkung Hrangkhawl is today at MTV Networks worldwide. On May 15th, I'll leave for my album tour in the UK (Sponsored by Vevo) performing at the Great Escape Music Festival & Liverpool Sound City.
