Was there something (an experience) or someone in your life that was the "catalyst" for you to start writing music? Tell us about it. Yes losing my lil brother & cousin too street gun violence. That hurt me more than anything, but I knew I had to stay strong and music helped me to do that. It helped me cope. My promise is to try hard and do my best, for them and for my family.
Let's get this out of the way. What is the CRAZIEST thing that has ever happened to you in your music career?
Having a deal on the table with universal records at the age 15, but my ceo (who was my uncles, behind me at the time) had got locked up by the feds and we never got to make it. What has been the high point of your music path?
This moment - right here - so far.
So, how do you approach songwriting or what is your creative process like? I just really speak on the things I have been through or done. I approach it knowing I got to give it my all and always remember who I’m doing it for which is my dad loved one and my family. What do you see as the biggest challenge facing Indie Artists today? Or, if you could ask the music industry to change one thing, what would it be? Change the scene so that Indie artists have a way - and a better platform - that doesn’t involve paying anything – just submit your music and be heard for a shot to do what you love. ‘Cause a lot of people have the talent and the drive, the ambition, but they really don’t have the funds for success.
If you could share the stage with one other artist or band, who would it be and why?
Soulja Slim & NBA Youngboy. With Soulja Slim, ‘cause that’s who I look up to, as the best rapper ever. And, youngboy cause I like his music. He’s one of my favorite artists today - seems like a real dude, like homie style. And the way he comes, it just seems like we been through the same similar stuff and I can relate to him a lot.
What are your rehearsals generally like? Or, how do you prepare for a live show? I just practice in the mirror are sometimes just go off of adrenaline.
What's coming up in the future? More hot music, movies, money, much success.
