Abijah - 10 Questions Interview

Was there something (an experience) or someone in your life that was the "catalyst" for you to start writing music? Tell us about it.

My catalyst was faith. Before I wrote my first song I knew that I was an awesome Songwriter. My first attemps in Songwriting saw it differently though. As for years trying to write a song was very discouraging.

Let's get this out of the way. What is the CRAZIEST thing that has ever happened to you in your music career?

COVID-19 Coronavirus was a international terrorist. I faced a lot of closed doors.

What has been the high point of your music path?

I have 2 high points (1) Having BWH Music Group holding on my song Global Wilderness and not letting go. (2) Being placed on Bongo Boy Records Volume XIX (19) Various Artist album and the Grammy FYC email Blast.

So, how do you approach songwriting or what is your creative process like?

Songwriter for me is placing myself into a situation. I don't always have to be in the mood. All I need to do is to put myself there, place myself in the scene but when am under an inspiration it's a home Court advance.

What do you see as the biggest challenge facing Indie Artists today? Or, if you could ask the music industry to change one thing, what would it be?

I believe the biggest challenge facing Indie Artists today is LINKS. Secondly Finance. When I listen to The Indie Playlist there are some much talent. I would invite the Industry to seriously take a listen. Talent matters.

If you could share the stage with one other artist or band, who would it be and why?

Lionel Richie. Lionel is the Doctor of Songwriting
