Was there something (an experience) or someone in your life that was the "catalyst" for you to start writing music? Tell us about it.
It all started in 2013, when I attended a Believers Loveworld BLW Christ Embassy music concert where various gospel artist came and ministered that day. There was Sinach, Bushi, Samsung, Frank Edward, and the BLW Rap Nation etc. I was really inspired by their annointing, motivation and insight in spreading the gospel with music. Prior to that time, I had always had my songs writen down but no encouragement to push it to the next level. Their ministrations gave me a push.
Let's get this out of the way. What is the CRAZIEST thing that has ever happened to you in your music career?
It was when I was ministering on stage with lots and lots of people with zeal ready to hear my songs and boom the mic turns off by itself. But I had to keep singing and rapping. Untill after the mic came up again and that is when it got to the last song I had to minister.
What has been the high point of your music path?
Oh my God.. The high point of my music path is when I received mail from my fans telling me how inspiring, motivating and counseling my song are. The last one that really got me to push more is the one that wrote and said. "I received my healing listening to your songs. They are spirit filled Rap, praise God"
So, how do you approach songwriting or what is your creative process like?
It comes in various ways. It could come as a chord, melody and then beat after which the lines and bars start dropping. Or sometimes, I wake up singing something that I never sang and the next thing I do is write it down and the chords, melody and beat follows.
What do you see as the biggest challenge facing Indie Artists today? Or, if you could ask the music industry to change one thing, what would it be?
One tree can not make a forest; there are many young music talents out there all over the world. But more hype and concentration is given to those already on top while the young ones most tmes get discouraged. But thank God for such a platform like BWH Music Group who recognized the young upcoming stars and want to hype them to realize their stars.
If you could share the stage with one other artist or band, who would it be and why?
Lecrae Because he is my role model and he set a good example to live.
What are your rehearsals generally like? Or, how do you prepare for a live show?
Lecrae Because he is my role model and he sets a good example to live by.
Pick one song that was your greatest challenge to write. Tell us about it!
Non Mollare. This was a song writen and sang in Italian language and English language. It was a little dufficult because of the language differences. I had to make sure that the Italian lyrics was correctly writen, sang and rapped. It took a little more of my time to do so.
What's coming up in the future?
I am preparing a European music tour.
