Reese Warren

Was there something (an experience) or someone in your life that was the "catalyst" for you to start writing music? Tell us about it.

When I was ten years old, I wrote my first song. I started writing music from a bad experience I had, and I needed a way to express how the situation affected me.

Let's get this out of the way. What is the CRAZIEST thing that has ever happened to you in your music career?

I am still pretty young so at this time, I don't really have a CRAZY thing that has happened to me in my music career, YET. haha

What has been the high point of your music path?

The high point of my music path so far is releases my first single and working with my music coach, Shaun Royer

So, how do you approach songwriting or what is your creative process like?

I have two notebooks that I keep with me. Song writing comes on its own time. I can't just sit down and write a song. When a thought or feeling comes to me, I will go and get one of my notebooks and start to write down those feelings. Then I start to turn that into lyrics.

What do you see as the biggest challenge facing Indie Artists today? Or, if you could ask the music industry to change one thing, what would it be?

The biggest challenge I have faced so far is knowing where to invest funds to best help my career move forward. It is easy to spend a lot of money trying to put out music and get noticed. Being able to know how to make my money work for me is the biggest challenge I have.

If you could share the stage with one other artist or band, who would it be and why?

I would love to share the stage with Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift. I look up to both of them and I am inspired by their stories. They both have gone through so much and have come out of it better on the other side. I appreciate them immensely.

What are your rehearsals generally like? Or, how do you prepare for a live show?

I am preparing for my first live show right now! I am practicing and working hard to make sure I am prepared. I have two rehearsals and a sound check before the show and I am looking forward to seeing the venue and hitting that stage.

Pick one song that was your greatest challenge to write. Tell us about it!

The greatest challenge in writing most of my songs, is that it will start out one way and end up a completely different song. haha My song, All About the Inside is one of the hardest songs I wrote because it was during a difficult time in my life.

What's coming up in the future?

I am so blessed to see what the future holds. I am getting ready to finally release new music and my EP should be out before the end of the year. I am also very busy doing voice acting, commercials and tons of auditions.
