Was there something (an experience) or someone in your life that was the "catalyst" for you to start writing music? Tell us about it. Me being in my High School Marching Band inspired me to write music besides just playing it! Let's get this out of the way. What is the CRAZIEST thing that has ever happened to you in your music career? Being invited to a music event where they forgot to load up my artist profile pic & info and had my music volume low on the mic so I couldn't out shine the event with my energy & my original music selection! What has been the high point of your music path? Getting the right promo to get my music heard & exposure! So, how do you approach songwriting or what is your creative process like? I am truly old school in my writing of music! I listen to the various sounds of multiple upcoming music producers and wait until my ear hears a hit beat! Then I listen to the beat for a few spins and if a hook rises or some lyrics come together I then begin making my song
What do you see as the biggest challenge facing Indie Artists today? Or, if you could ask the music industry to change one thing, what would it be? Taking the real self worth and investing into your music career! So many Indie Artist think that opportunity will just arrive and you will get booked, given radio time, be heard to make revenue, etc.! That is far from the truth! What you put into this industry is what you will get back in return! Simple!
If you could share the stage with one other artist or band, who would it be and why? As a multi Indie Genre artist I am a fan of many artist in the music industry so I have no one in particular that I would be specific on sharing the stage with! Sharing the stage with any selected industry artist is alright with me!
What are your rehearsals generally like? Or, how do you prepare for a live show? I usually rehearse a few days before my actual show to get any of my vocals and sounds tight then I do more rehearsals the day of the event to keep me sharp on my sound and then I perform and make it all sound official! Pick one song that was your greatest challenge to write. Tell us about it! My greatest song I had a challenge with writing is my first released single "Jesus! Fix Me!" This song was my transition into the Christian Hip Hop genre of music and I wanted the message to be powerful not only for me every time I listened to it, played it back or performed it but wanted it to be the same experience for the listener of my music for the very first time of my step up as a professional music artist!
