I learned music at a young age. You might say I was born into it. Both parents were very musical and encouraged me to pursue it!
Let's get this out of the way. What is the CRAZIEST thing that has ever happened to you in your music career?
The craziest thing that ever happened to me in my music career was a VIP experience with legendary Charlie Daniels at a show in Oklahoma. Hanging with the band around the tour bus.
What has been the high point of your music path?
A high point in my music path was winning the PRSA Award for writing a song for the Ronald McDonald House that went viral all over the world!!!
So, how do you approach songwriting or what is your creative process like?
I write songs from my life experiences. Ideas are always floating around in my head. I get inspired and then start the process.

What do you see as the biggest challenge facing Indie Artists today? Or, if you could ask the music industry to change one thing, what would it be? If I could ask one thing of the music industry, it would be to not be so biased. Don't let age or race be a factor in determining the success for the artist. In today's market indie artist have a really good chance of making it with services available just like record labels.
If you could share the stage with one other artist or band, who would it be and why?
I would share the stage with Eric Church. He is such a great artist with a lot of good qualities.
What are your rehearsals generally like? Or, how do you prepare for a live show?
Practice, Practice, Practice! Always look over the set and plan out the performance.
Pick one song that was your greatest challenge to write. Tell us about it!
Country's Just Cooler was a difficult song to write. Many dynamics and the message had to be spot on. Took a while to capture the right energy!
What's coming up in the future?
Planning to perform at Ole Red at the request of Blake Shelton's camp. Look forward to travelling to Tishomingo, Oklahoma for a live performance.
