What is the name of the song you have on ‘Keepin’ It Country, Vol. One’?
"One of Them Nights"
What is the inspiration behind your song? Or what is your song about? This song is about reckless abandon of life’s mundane concerns and the women who drive us there.
How did you write your featured song? Or can you describe your songwriting process? I was working at an RV park last summer and had no car so had to walk 30 minutes each day, subsequently I decided to use this time to write a country hit.
If you could share the stage with one Country artist, who would it be?! Willie Nelson
Who or what has inspired you the most in your music career? My wife Jodi Mae and our my newborn son River Wyatt Hull.
How did you first get introduced to Country music? Or what made you decide to pursue Country music? My father inspired me to take a stab at this; I had never considered it as I mostly listened to classic rock. With time I really learned the history of country and found my own artistry within the genre.
Of the songs you have written, which one was the most challenging to write and why? I have the most challenge writing upbeat positive songs, I’ve walked a rough path, and I navigate to more depressive ballads when writing, but no one really wants to listen to those.
Where do you live and how is the Country music scene there!? I live in Ventura C,A also known as Ventucky so Country music definitely has its place here, plus Johnny Cash hung his hat in Casitas Springs right down the street from where I reside.
So, what’s coming up in the future? I’ve just signed on with management and hitting the country playing shows, probably to slums and dark taverns, hopefully the country doesn’t hit back.
